Mohammad Kamal is an award-winning composer and sound designer whose music brings stories to life on screen. With over 25 years of experience, his work spans film, television, commercials, and international campaigns — earning recognition from the Webby Awards, Promax World, Signal Awards, and Best Original Score at the Milan International Filmmakers Festival.
His journey in music began at an early age, when he first picked up the guitar and started singing in bands. Performing in Beirut, Lebanon, he quickly discovered that music was not just a pursuit but his life’s calling. After relocating to Dubai in 2001, Mohammad immersed himself in the vibrant music scene, performing with blues and jazz bands while also establishing himself as a session guitarist.
Determined to refine his craft, he pursued formal studies at the SAE Institute of Sound (School of Audio Engineering) in London. While in London, he performed and recorded with numerous bands, expanding his versatility and deepening his understanding of sound in both live and studio contexts. It was there that he received a career-defining opportunity: joining MBC Group, the Middle East’s largest broadcasting network. From 2006 to 2018, Mohammad rose to become the head of a seven-member audio team, composing, designing sound, and leading projects that garnered multiple international awards.
In 2018, Mohammad moved to the United States to establish the sound department for MBN (Middle East Broadcasting Networks), part of the U.S. Congress-funded Voice of America. After building and leading that department, he transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding his own company, Euphonic Sound Productions — a post-production and music house with bases in Washington, D.C. and Dubai. Through Euphonic, he delivers music composition, sonic branding, and end-to-end audio post-production for networks, film, and global brands; visit www.euphonicsp.com
Throughout this professional journey, Mohammad’s deepest passion has always remained music. Alongside his broadcasting and post-production work, he has composed original scores for films, short films, and documentaries, winning awards such as Best Original Score at the Milan International Filmmakers Festival for Jareedi and the FIPRESCI Award at the Dubai International Film Festival for Familial Fever. These projects represent what drives him most: creating music that resonates emotionally and elevates storytelling.
Blending cinematic depth with a modern edge, Mohammad’s scores move seamlessly between intimate, emotional themes and bold, expansive sound worlds. His dual expertise in composition and post-production allows him to craft music that not only resonates emotionally but also integrates flawlessly with dialogue, sound design, and picture.
Now based between Washington, D.C. and Dubai, Mohammad is focused on collaborating with filmmakers and producers who seek music that elevates their vision and creates a lasting emotional impact. For him, every project is a dialogue — where sound becomes a partner in telling the story.
